PIERCE RESIDENCE. This renovation of a "woody" architectural shell into a showplace for the owner’s collection of contemporary art and sculpture took place in stages over a number of years. Of particular note is the illusion created in the living room with the full height mirror framed by redwood. The sectioned couch appears to go around the corner into another room. Such dramatic use of mirror is a specialty of Adams Design. The spacious kitchen was created by rethinking a covered walkway access from the garage resulting in this functional and beautiful solution.
